The Mission of ABAOMS:

To support the Dental Schools and individuals in their drive to increase the international competitiveness of the research, education and clinical practice of oral and maxillofacial surgery.

Annual ABAOMS Conference

The annual ABAOMS meeting will be held in Berlin, Germany from the 7th to 9th of December 2016 and is being organised by Professor Tom Dietrich (University of Birmingham). The meeting will take place at the TRYP hotel in Berlin Mitte, in the city centre.  

The Registration Fee:
Members: £290  Non-members:  £340 (up to 31/10/2016)

Late Registration:   
Members: £340  Non-members:  £390 (after 31/10/2016)

The conference fee includes attendance at the conference, dinner on Wednesday and Thursday lunch on Thursday and Friday,  as well as refreshments throughout.  Please contact Professor Dietrich (t.dietrich@bham.ac.uk) to book your place at the conference.

Accommodation is not included in the conference fee and delegates will need to book their own hotel.  The TRYP hotel has rooms available at conference rate (currently approx. £45/£75 [may change with exchange rate] per person per night in double/single room, respectively – including breakfast) can be booked (subject to availability) until the 15.11.2016 – and they can be cancelled at no cost until 4 weeks before the conference.

EACMFS 2016

The 23rd Congress of the European Association for Cranio Maxillo-Facial Surgery
September 13th -16th, 2016, London, UK

We are delighted to be hosting the European Association for Cranio Maxillofacial Surgery Congress in the vibrant city of London from September 13th-16th, 2016. The Congress promises to feature oral and maxillofacial professionals from around the globe to provide you with unique access to the latest innovations and technological advances in our field. The programme will be focused on how technology is leading to innovative techniques within our specialty. We will be exploring in particular the advances in surgical techniques learnt from experience in conflict over the past 100 years, as we mark the centenary of The Great War.

The ABAOMS Robinson poster prize

The winner of this years ABAOMS Robinson poster prize will receive free registration at the next years ABAOMS meeting and the opportunity to present their prize winning poster, or a cash prize of £100.

The ABAOMS Undergraduate prize

ABAOMS Undergraduate prize (winner at each school to receive £100).
Each school is to nominate one candidate, the entrants will be judged by a panel from the Education committee under Dr Mike Macluskey. The winner will be invited to give their paper/poster at the next year's ABAOMS conference with free registration. More information can be found here.
